The study, conducted in cooperation with Qendra Balancë and Kozeta Atelie, provides a comprehensive overview of the textile craftsmanship sector in Albania. It is based on a survey of 160 artisans, as well as representatives from government institutions, tourism companies, vocational schools, academies, international organizations, trade unions, and women’s associations. The findings will inform concrete activities and support measures aimed at sustainably strengthening the sector.

The results of the study were presented by Anisa Semaj, researcher and lead analyst, together with J. Myteveli, Executive Director of Balance Center. Following the presentation, an intensive and engaging discussion took place between artisans and institutional representatives, allowing participants to exchange experiences, challenges, and ideas for the sector’s development.

Closing remarks were delivered by Constanze Kuesel, Head of the International Projects Department at the Chamber of Crafts Koblenz, who emphasized the importance of common platforms for discussing sectoral challenges and perspectives, and for fostering cooperation among stakeholders.
