“Mbrojme Gruan” Foundation

The Foundation “Mbrojmë Gruan” is a newly established organization within the Albanian civil society sector, founded by a team of distinguished professionals from diverse fields, including economics, arts, politics, and social activism. With a mission to protect the rights of Albanian women and promote their economic empowerment, the foundation initially focused on charitable efforts supporting women and children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Post-pandemic, the focus shifted to address the critical need for economic empowerment and professional training for Albanian women and girls, aiming to help them re-enter and succeed in the labor market.

Since joining the National Chamber of Crafts in July 2023, the foundation has developed a robust initiative, “Protect Women in Training and Professional Qualification in the Crafts Sector,” aimed at fostering skills development within the craft industry. This initiative supports young individuals and women/men involved in fields such as fashion, textiles, handicrafts, and related professions, providing essential professional training in collaboration with La Griffe Academy.

Despite its youth, the foundation is strengthened by the dedication of experienced professionals in labor market dynamics, vocational training, and civil society, who volunteer their expertise to drive project development, build networks, and foster collaboration with key institutions.
