On 30 April and 1 May 2026, the Master Craft Practical Examination in the hairdressing and cosmetics sector was successfully held at the NEW GENERATION Training Center in Tirana. Organized in cooperation with Handwerkskammer Koblenz (HWK Koblenz), SHPPAT, and DHKZ, the examination aimed to assess candidates’ professional competencies according to master craft standards and certification procedures.
During the two-day examination, candidates demonstrated their practical skills through a variety of professional tasks. Hairdressing examinations included hair colouring, ladies’ and men’s haircuts, hairstyling, make-up application, nail design, permanent wave techniques, and styling with hair extensions. Participants also completed situational tasks and professional consultations designed to evaluate technical expertise, creativity, communication, and customer service skills.
The second day focused on cosmetic treatments, including skin analysis, facial cleansing and massage procedures, as well as manicure and hand massage techniques. Throughout the examination, the committee closely monitored candidate performance to ensure compliance with professional and examination standards.
The activity provided an important opportunity for candidates to demonstrate advanced vocational competencies while promoting quality standards and professional certification in the sector. It also strengthened cooperation among project partners and supported the implementation of internationally aligned vocational education and certification practices in Albania.
