Empowering Textile Artisans and Strengthening Dialogue with Vocational Education

The Textile Artisans Network meeting was held this time in Shkodër, bringing together energy, collaboration, and valuable ideas for the future of the sector. Through open and engaging discussions, artisans shared their experiences, reflected on challenges, and identified key issues for further development and cooperation.

As a continuation of the work initiated last year, this gathering marked a concrete step toward empowering the community and fostering sustainable partnerships. From exchanging ideas to shaping shared visions, strong foundations were laid for a more connected and impactful network.

On the second day of the activity, together with textile artisans, a meaningful meeting was held with the director, teachers, and students of “Hamdi Bushati” Vocational Education and Training School. The discussions focused on what truly matters: professional internships for students in artisan workshops, market needs, and the development of training modules that preserve traditional techniques while embracing innovation.

This constructive dialogue between the school and artisans represents a key step toward strengthening the craft sector. And this is exactly what we are building — together.
