From January to May 2026, a pilot Master Qualification Project in Hairdressing and Cosmetics was successfully implemented within the framework of the Chamber and Association Partnership Project between SHPPAT Association, (HWK Koblenz) and DHKZ
The programme was developed based on German Master Craftsman (Meister) standards and aimed to strengthen vocational education and training (VET) in Albania’s hairdressing and cosmetics sector. It supports the improvement of professional standards and the development of structured qualification pathways for young professionals.
A total of 35 participants successfully completed the programme, which combined advanced technical training with business management and vocational pedagogy. The training was structured into four modules:
- Professional Theory in Hairdressing and Cosmetics
- Practical Training in Hairdressing and Beauty Services
- Business Management and Entrepreneurship
- Vocational Pedagogy and Workplace Training
All training was delivered with the involvement of trainers prepared and supported by experts from the Chamber of Crafts Koblenz (HWK Koblenz), ensuring alignment with German vocational training standards.
The qualification corresponds to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), comparable to bachelor’s degree level, and contributes to the increasing recognition of high-quality vocational qualifications in Albania.
The pilot project represents an important milestone in strengthening the vocational training system in Albania and demonstrates the value of international cooperation in developing sustainable qualification structures in the hairdressing and cosmetics sector. It demonstrates how international cooperation between professional associations and chambers can support workforce development, improve service quality, and contribute to the long-term competitiveness of the hairdressing and cosmetics industries.
