From April 1 to May 31, 2026, a group of 17 students from the Textile and Garment Manufacturing profile at Vocational High School “Hamdi Bushati” in Shkodër participated in a Professional Practice Programme implemented in cooperation with textile artisan businesses, including textile artisans Meliha Zyberaj and Vjollca Tahiri.
The initiative is the result of close cooperation between the vocational school and textile artisan businesses, initiated and facilitated by DHKZ and HWK Koblenz within the framework of the Chamber and Association Partnership Project.
The programme provided students with practical, hands-on experience in real workplace environments, enabling them to strengthen their vocational competencies and gain direct insight into the textile and garment manufacturing sector. Participants developed technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills through supervised workplace learning and competency-based training.
Practical activities included garment production, textile weaving using recyclable materials, knitting, dyeing and finishing, prototype development, quality control, and professional communication. The programme also strengthened students’ teamwork, creativity, and responsibility.
It contributes to strengthening the link between vocational education and the labour market and forms part of broader efforts to expand practical training opportunities for young people in the crafts sector.
The implementation of the programme was carried out in line with the national regulatory framework for vocational education and training and was welcomed by the National Agency for Employment and Skills (AKPA).
